My oldest is turning three this week so I thought it'd be nice to take him out for some pictures, just me and him. I figured it'd be nice and easy, just go play outside and snap some pictures. Oh how wrong I was.
A little bit about my background, I come from a family of professional photographers, both my parents were amazing photographers and one of my sisters majored in photography and now also does it professionally. So of course us kids often ended being the subjects to photograph and I'll be honest, I was not the best subject. She'd offer bribes, promise it would be a short shoot, anything to just get us to sit still and smile! So when my own children started getting fed up with a camera following them all the time, I called my mom and asked,"why is it that my own children HATE getting their pictures taken?" All I heard was laughing and then she said, "Karma Christine....karma.".
So this mini-session was my karmic-payback for all those years I wasn't more willing to pose for my mom's photos. Sorry Mom. :)

Beautiful boys (yes they're mine :) )
Sometimes it's hard to get good shots of my boys. They pretty much ignore me when I pull out the camera so when I get some nice pictures of them, it's a big deal! I've been doing some studio shots so here are a few I've managed to capture that I think really show my boys personalities.

Colorful fun
They were such a fun family to shoot and their daughter is one of the most smiley babies I've ever seen. Plus she's got those piercing blue eyes! I loved all the different colors they brought to this shoot. Beautiful family and I loved how their photos turned out too.

Blue eyed boys
These are good friends whom we hang out with often and our oldest boys are only a month apart and practically attached at the hip. They were great subjects and their older son was loving hamming it up for the camera which made my job easy. I loved the boys bright blue eyes and I think the shoot went very well. Here a few of my favorites.
